Nigerian Youths and Women Political Emancipation Movement (NYWOPEM) is a membership-based national grassroots political inclusion alliance of youths and women, whose aim is to promote and enforce adequate political participation and inclusion of youths and women by tackling elite political dominance and the marginalization and exclusion of youths and women.

NYWOPEM aims to achieve its desired goal by providing a national grassroots electoral engagement and networking platform, designed to engender sensitization, re-awakening and mass mobilization of youths and women towards active participation and adequate involvement in politics and governance, specifically as voters, ballot security volunteers, electoral candidates, elected or appointed political leaders, and opposition stakeholders.

NYWOPEM – The 2027 Game Changer.

Youths and women represent 90% of the Nigerian voting populace (the voting masses). With their large voting numbers, youths and women have the power to decide who becomes elected into political offices, not only in the 2027 general elections, but also in future elections. Based on these known facts, it is true that the power to decide winners of elections in Nigeria does not lie on INEC, the judiciary, the ruling elites, security agents, or political parties but solely on youths and women through their votes or ballots.

These realities have clearly shown that they possess the power to also elect themselves into political offices, and this will in turn put an end to elite political dominance in Nigeria. The desire and determination to transform these possibilities into realities, is the reason for the birth of NYWOPEM.
